You don’t want to be late to start your job, so you stay on the elevator. In no time you reach twenty one.

You step off into a lavishly decorated hall. The plush carpets and crown molding give it the feel of an old hotel.

You make your way to a desk. A gorgeous receptionist sits there. She has the high cheekbones, lush full lips, and bright white teeth of a movie star.

You amend that to movie star or porn star as her breasts come into view. You’ve always loved yours. They are natural b plus ice cream scoops. The woman in front of you has perfect half melons, high on her chest. You are tempted to ask if they’re real.

She looks up at you. “Name?”

“Teri Tuck.”

She looks at you with a flat emotionless expression. “Oh, the new girl. If you think you can handle it we’re having a party up on eighty later.”

You are slightly insulted. You are pretty sure you can ‘handle’ a party. Although, partying on a Monday is something you haven’t done in a while.

She gives you a wry smile. “William Gold is waiting for you. Third door on the right.”

You stride over and open the door. William Gold is younger than you expected. He fills out an expensive suit perfectly.

“Ms. Tuck?”

You nod.

“Did you know your name rhymes with...”

“Don’t even say it. I had to deal with that all through middle school...”

He laughs a deep mirthful laugh. “Ms. Tuck, I was going to say it rhymed with luck. Let me show you what we do here.”

You blush slightly.

He pulls up a laptop. “We do things a bit differently here.”

He begins to show you the books. You realize he is making unwarranted adjustments.

“That seems wrong.”

“As I said we do things a bit differently.”

“You’re cooking the books.”

He laughs. “Yes, I suppose you could call it that. I’ll be signing off on anything you do. Are you ok with a little approximating?”

He rolls the word approximating. If he’s signing off it won’t be your ass on the line. Still it’s completely unethical. You love The Company, but...
