Chapter 3 by Heavy Ion Heavy Ion

Where To Start?

Continue with the Night Patrol

Texas glanced between the alleyway and the brothel for a few moments before the Weasel turned around and continued on with her night patrol. The chilly breeze continued to make Texas shiver as she began to approach the edge of Golden Springs, away from the centre where most of the Townsfolk were enjoying themselves in the saloons. It was...quiet, very quiet. Texas tried to look at the barely lit buildings for any sort of activity or movement, but couldn't see anything. Maybe the Sheriff should head back to the main part of town, make sure no one was causing any trouble or escorting them if they had too much to drink.

Wait a second, maybe the Saloons were the key to missing Townsfolk. The bartenders might know something, perhaps they've seen some shady figures follow townsfolk out of the saloons only to come up missing the next day. Texas could check a few of the Saloons, and, if she really wanted to brave it, the Crushed Weasel. The thought of that saloon made Texas shiver, and not from the cold night. That saloon in particular wasn't exactly the most friendly to law enforcement, but maybe Annabelle knew something about the missing Townsfolk. How Texas would get the bovine bartender to actually talk she didn't know, but she could just wing it.

Maybe she should just continue with her patrols, the Weasel turning around and about to head back when she suddenly saw something on one of the building walls. A dull blue light that flashed on the wall, Texas looked behind her, her eyes scanning the horizon, searching for the source of the light...There! That old, abandoned warehouse just beyond the town, she could see a strange blue light coming from the building, flashing periodically before stopping. Texas could also see some natural light shining from the warehouse, it seemed like someone had set up home. But who?

What does Texas do?
