Confront Jane

You couldn't stand it. Immediately after the class adjourned, you made a beeline to Jane. She looked at you with a shocked expression.

"Who are you?" You asked.

"Wait, you can see me?"

"Why not?"

"Wow! That's amazing! Is it because we're friends. Or perhaps... you had feelings for me? I mean I could make you forget, but maybe it's more fun this way. Yeah, maybe-"

"Excuse me, what are you talking about. And how did you, you know, do that to Martin in class?"

"Oh my God, that's so embarrassing. Hahah. Uh, where do I begin." She blushed and looked flustered. "Oh right. I look different now. I'm actually Jane, in case you were wondering. As to what is happening... let's just say I have control over reality now."

"Right."

"No, I'm serious! Look, the sky is going to turn red-" In a blink of an eye, the clear blue sky was dyed a crimson red, basking everything in a horrific red light. It lasted only for a few seconds. "Hoo boy that looked hella freaky."

Was it possible? The evidence was irrefutable but it was just too difficult to believe.

"How?"

"I'm not sure either. I had a weird dream, I think, and I woke up with the powers. I tried it on myself and I look like a celebrity now." She got up and gave a playful spin. "My family didn't seem to notice. I thought I would just have fun with the powers alone, but maybe it would be nice to have someone to talk to about it."

"That's... just crazy."

"Oh yeah. I don't even want to understand how it's possible. By the way..." Jane began, a twinkle in her eyes.
