Confirming her actions...

As Dave pulls up in front of the address that Maggie had provided he sees a petite short haired blond leaving the house. With a quick wish the girl walks toward Dave’s mom’s car.

“Hello…ummm…I don’t know why I’m talking to you, I don’t know you.” the girl says, her voice dripping with confusion.

“Is your name Pamela? And are your parents home?” Dave wishes her to be truthful.

The girl shakes her head after a slight hesitation, “That’s my older sister, I'm Meredith. She should be in her room now. And no…Ummm, why?” her face scrunching up suspiciously.

Don’t worry about that, Dave thinks, and her face goes back to a serene, uncaring look. “Sorry to have bothered you, thanks for the directions.” Dave says, wishing her to think that he had just asked for directions to the mall.

The girl smiles, “Hey, no problem. Maybe I’ll run into you again sometime…” she says, giving him the once over.

“Uh, yeah. Maybe so.”

The girl stands up and walks off.

Dave sits in the car for a minute until the girl rounds a curve in the road getting out of sight. Dave then gets out of the car and walks up to the door of Maggie’s nemesis. He rings the door bell.

A minute later he hears a pounding on the steps from inside. “Just a minute Joel.” The door flings open and Dave sees an almost twin of the girl that had just walked away. Dave’s eyes bug out a bit as he sees what she’s wearing, that being just a towel, though her hair was dry. The girl sees that the person at the door wasn’t whoever this Joel was and leaps behind the door with a yelp, “Umm, h-hello. Who are you?”

With a quick wish he forces the girl to be truthful, “Are you Pamela?”

“Yes.”

“Did you have anything to do with the accident that ruined Maggie Simmons’ gymnastic career?”

“Yes. I loosened the bottom bar so that…”

“Shut up. Do you realize that she could have been killed?” Dave asks, anger boiling through him. Females are so vindictive, he thinks.

Pamela’s eyes start to tear up as she realizes what she’s stating, and that the statute of limitations on attempted **** were long, the punishment severe. “A-actually it never occurred to me. She was so good I knew she would recover enough to stop herself from being killed. But just in case that‘s why I loosened the lower bar…”

Dave raises an eyebrow. “You have a healthy respect for someone you hate.”

Pamela blinks, “Yes well, people you hate tend to have the most respect. I’ll admit I’ve never been anywhere close to her skill. Others trained, she did. It was unnatural.”

“So you decided to use a stunt that could have killed her?”

Pamela looks away, ashamed, “I…There’s not been a day that I haven’t wished I could go back and change that.”

Surprised Dave blinks, “Really?”

“Yeah, there are times I wish she had died. Before she just excelled at gymnastics, after wards, she excelled in school. Her grades shot up twenty points. Everything I did she did better. I hate her. I wish she were dead. I wish I had killed her.” Her voice is defiant, but the look in her eyes convey the surprise that she just admitted that. But then, Dave thinks, he had wished her to be totally honest, and perhaps this was the first time she had consciously admitted to these feelings.

“You’ve been a naughty girl Pamela. Time to pay the piper.”

Dave wishes Pamela to let him in, and go upstairs. As he follows the little blond up the stairs he hears her starting to sob. If it weren’t for the little spiel he had just heard coming from her own mouth, he might have felt a little sorry for her. Perhaps just made her a cumslut that likes to be gangbanged until she couldn’t move the next day. Or just made her afraid to do gymnastics. Perhaps made her an airhead like Jake did to his mother. But now? Now Dave has to decide on a suitable punishment for the little girl of murderous intent. His mother’s warning to not be too harsh forgotten for the moment.
