“I…” Alexa frowned. “I… I need them.”

Alexa’s eyes were locked on her feet, ashamed of the truth. “Lex,” Michelle said softly as she rested a hand against her cheek. “It’s okay. Just tell me the truth.”

“I need diapers,” Alexa said. “I’m so embarrassed but I still have accidents at night and well sometimes… sometimes during the day too. It’s embarrassing. I’m 22 and still need… d-diapers. I would be mortified if anyone ever found out the truth. I mean what am I supposed to do? Tell everyone what a big baby I am?”

Alexa whimpered. “Lex, it’s not that bad,” Michelle said.

“How can you even say that?” Alexa said. “You have no idea what it was like to grow up being constantly bullied and shamed for needing… diapers. After the sleepover everything went so badly. Megan found out and well she humiliated me. And I don’t want to go back to that. I can’t.”

“Lex, I would never do that to you,” Michelle said. “You mean the world to me.”

“But…” Alexa said as she leaned closer to Michelle. “I’m just a big baby.”

“I…” Michelle said. “I have my own confession.”
