Blowing out a breath of confusion and concern, he drew his own sword, and slipped into the tunnel, careful not to light the vines on fire as he passed through the aperture. Stopping only a few feet into the tunnel, the apprentice leaned his sword against the cavern wall and plucked a small plant with tiny little white flower sprouting from three stems.

Dirt lifted the flower for his companion to see. “This is the herb we need. Let's split up and find as much as we can. Meet back here in ten minutes.”

With a nod Ashley went down the right fork, as Dirt followed the left. As she moved further down the tunnel, it became harder and harder to see, even with her sharp elven eyes.
