Chapter 2 by ldnldn ldnldn

What does Kim do next?

Christmas Special

A gleaming castle stood proud atop the clouds. Its true shape was ever-changing, its inner halls impossible by most mathematic models. An oneiric place situated in the intersection between reality and dreams. Morpheus palace.

Under the guidance of its master, the eponymous God of Dreams, the palace served as a resort for all who could find it (and afford it). A seemingly never-ending heaven with hot springs, casinos, libraries, and an army of mystical servants ready at the beck and call of their guests. One of which had quite an urgent demand.

“No!” Kim yelled. She was a human, a rarity in the magical place, a slender but still somewhat curvy woman with green eyes, colorful red lips, and a cute round face. She was standing at the back of the hot springs with only a towel tied around her waist, her peachy skin covered in a shiny veneer of sweat and water. “My shift is over, and it's Christmas Eve, I'm off duty!”

“But this is urgent! We are even going to bring Harako in for reinforcements!” replied a blonde woman dressed in a white toga. Her silky skin had a faint glow, but not as much as her golden hair, which shone like the sun. She was an oneiros, a dream spirit. The managers of the palace.

“You what?”

The spirit snapped her fingers. “Aaaah!” Another woman appeared next to Kim. She was lanky and pale, with distant dark eyes and long midnight-black hair. Water pooled beneath her dainty feet, a drop falling from her exposed brown nipple. She was naked, but her wet hair clung to her skin and somewhat managed to hide part of her smallish breasts.

The woman was quick to adjust her position and raise a leg over her bald crotch, one of her hands going back to try to cover the crack parting her slim behind. A faint blush appeared on her pale cheeks, her cute face somewhat distraught at the turn of events. “…What's going on? I was taking a bath!” the specter complained.

“You and me both!” Kim said.

“We have an urgent job, and only you two can do it! You are our best errand girls! We'll even give you double pay for this one!”

Kim sighed. It's not as if she had any plans for Christmas, and antagonizing her boss could spell trouble in the future. Plus, she could use the money, it's not like her debt was getting any smaller. “You are not going to take no for an answer, huh? Fine, but make it triple pay, and I want two extra days off since you are making me work on Christmas.”

“Done,” the spirit snapped her fingers. The hot stone disappeared from under Kim's feet, along with the humid fog of the springs. She floated in a dark void for all of a second. Wooden tiles quickly materialized underneath her. She was atop an empty stage, with only curtains and a chilly door behind them.

“…Hey! What about me? … I didn't agree to take this job!” Harako complained.

“So then, you are going to let me go alone on this super dangerous urgent job?” Kim asked, giving her partner doe eyes.

“I… err… Let's just get this over with,” Harako agreed with a sigh. “Can't go back to the water now that I'm wearing this monstrosity. It will ruin the fabric…” The specter pulled the hem of the green skirt she was now wearing, inspecting it curiously.

“Wha?” Kim looked down. She was surprised to see that she was no longer naked. The duo wore green and red skirts, pointed-toed shoes, and Christmas hats. The skirt was tiny and tight, hugging Kim's curves like a jealous lover. It barely covered the essentials.

Kim tried unsuccessfully to stretch the skirt past her bare bottom. The outfit didn’t come with matching panties. “Not that I'm complaining about getting a uniform for a change, but can't you give me something a bit longer? This is too short.”

“…And these shoes pinch too much,” Harako complained, softly kicking her feet to try to move the shoes into a more comfortable position.

“And I can feel this hat crushing my skull.”

“Sorry, but they don't make elf clothing in human sizes, so you'll have to make do with that,” the spirit said.

“Bullshit. I've seen plenty of elves wear much more-“

“Not elves, elfs,” the spirit interrupted Kim, handing her a small USB drive. “You see, Santa's top IT guy is one of our VIP clients, and he forgot the “nice list” on his room. Your job is to infiltrate Santa's workshop and put the list in his sled without him noticing, or else our client will be out of a job.”

“Pff, you joking?” Kim smirked, incredulous. “Ghosts, sure? Ancient gods, might as well. But Santa Claus? That's fake. Everyone knows he isn't real.”

“… but he is,” Harako interjected. “… He even visited the palace some five years ago.”

“I don't know who you saw, but Santa isn't real! My parents specifically told me so when I was eight. If he was, why did he never bring me any gifts?!”

“I mean, because your name isn’t there?” Harako pointed at the little USB device.

“Look, I don't know what to tell you.” The spirit pulled both women towards the chilly door. “A job's a job, so get to it. We are close to midnight, the clock's ticking!” She opened the portal door and pushed both girls across it.
