Chemistry, with Becky and Amanda

"I've got English with Tillman next period, right near the gym," Jess said, "and you guys have...."

"Chemistry." Amanda replied. "Closer to the cafeteria."

"Right. Well, I can run back at the end of class and grab our stuff from the locker room, but, uh... You gonna be okay?" she asked, looking at me while jerking a thumb towards our mutual friends and headaches.

"Well..." I sighed. It'd have been nice to have Jess around, especially if I had to mind both Becky AND Amanda, but it was a chemistry class. How bad could it be? "I'll be find. Just... hurry, once the bell rings."

"Got it." Jess nodded and gave me a smirk. We went our separate ways outside the library; Jess down one hallway, Beth, Amanda and I down the other.

Now, Chemistry was an alright class for us. Sure, the material was a dry, but with the three of us in our own lab group, we usually managed to get through the class just fine. Amanda was the brains, I kept the group focused, and Becky... Well, Ms. Martinez liked Becky, which helped excuse some of the glassware she'd broken on occasion. As we walked in the door, though, I just wished we would be doing a relatively simple lab that week.
