Check out the side passage

You decide to investigate the side passage. Creeping along quietly, you soon find the dirt around you is fortified with beams of wood for support, and torches intermittently line the walls, enough of them giving off light to make it easy enough to see.

You stop as the tunnel widens into a larger hollowed-out space, with a large blacksmiths forge taking up much of the available space. Racks of steel weapons and tools line the walls, gleaming in the light of the forge.

You nearly miss her at first, but in behind the forge is an extremely short woman, a hammer in one hand and tongs in the other, holding a piece of metal against an anvil and smashing it with an impressive degree of strength.

She continues for several seconds, then tosses the metal into a barrel of water to cool and lays down the tongs, keeping the hammer in her other hand.

Wiping sweat from her face, she strides up to you, sizing you up as she does so.

You take the time to get a better look at her as well. Apart from being under four feet tall, what stands out most is her unusual stoutness. She doesn't look overweight, but her body as a whole looks denser and more solidly built than you'd expect.

Her hair is shoulder-length and reddish in color, and judging by her face, she's not a whole lot older than you are. She's dressed in simple, soot-stained clothes and a leather apron, but you can tell that she has a distinctly female body underneath it all.

"'En't ya ever seen a dwarf before, boy?" Her sudden terse question makes you realize you'd been staring for longer than planned.

You jump in surprise, then, realizing she asked a question, shake your head. "No, I haven't actually."

She hmphs, the sound vaguely irritated, and you start to wonder if maybe you're better off heading back the way you came. This dwarf doesn't seem particularly friendly...

Just as you're considering how to disengage yourself from the conversation however, the dwarf speaks again. "I'm Grear Redrock! Whaddya want?"

Despite the brusqueness of her tone, she doesn't seem to be on the verge of attacking you, so you introduce yourself in return. "I'm Jerry, and I was hoping to ask you for a favor."

Asking for a weapon right off the bat seems a little presumptuous, and you try to think of how to word the request.

"Spit it out then, boy! I en't gonna smash yer kneecaps just fer askin'." She waves the hammer, as if demonstrating, and you have to suppress a wince.

"Could you let me have one of your weapons, please?" You blurt out the request, feeling like an idiot and tagging the please on the end.

The dwarf stares at you unblinkingly before saying. "Ya don't look like ya've got anything to trade..."

You didn't have much in the way of hope by that point, and you start to mouth a farewell before heading back the way you came, but the dwarf interrupts you.

"If yer willing to work, I could hire ya on as a cunt-boy fer a while though"

You blink, not sure if you heard her right. "...A what?"

"D'ya got dirt in your ears? I said a cunt-boy."

She speaks slower, as if talking to an idiot, one hand moving between her legs and making a fairly obscene groping motion. "A boy for pleasing mah cunt."

"Ya don't look like ye'd hold out for too long fucking me, but those smooth cheeks o' yers look made fer getting up in between a girl's thighs, huh?" She laughs out loud then raises an eyebrow.

"Whaddya say, boy? I'd only keep ya fer a few hours. Got to get back to work after all. In exchange, I'll give ya the sharpest sword I've got."
