Charge!

Putting your loudness to good use, you roar, pulling your blade from its sheath with a low ring of metal on metal, striding forward with the confidence of a trained warrior. The young men startle, some looking angry but most looking frightened and ready to bolt. You pick up speed, lifting the four foot long blade for all to see. That did it, three bolted from the back and the others stumbled after them, cursing. You slow and stop in front of Amber, whose blush only intensifies as you turn to look at her.

{else}She didn't look frightened but she was obviously guilty, avoiding your gaze and fidgeting.

{endif} Amber didn't like not being the one in charge and, perhaps predictably, you find yourself on the defensive, "What are you doing! I was getting us some money so you could stop begging for scraps!"

"By being a prostitute are you kidding me?! And I'm not 'begging' I take donations for the holy cause!"

"You go in and beg for food at every town we pass and we're both going to need more now that winters coming! I'm just trying to think ahead! And I'm not a prostitute, it's just a kiss!"

"Oh nonono, this isn't my fault this is your mistake, stop changing the subject! You were about to be a prostitute!"

You argue like that until you can suppress your pride enough to tell her you needed to leave before those idiots came back with swords, "pft, thanks to you."

You continue arguing up to and after you reach the gate, walking out into the forest tirelessly bickering.
