Chapter One: Greed
After almost a year of having to deal with the barrage of fools, dumb enough to try and take a stand against her might, the giantess found herself wishing she had the confidence to storm through the village, walk right up to the king, and crush the man in a public display of vengeance. Still, there was the problem of the old man’s armies. It would be impossible for her to get anywhere near the castle. The king’s soldiers and knights would see to giving her one hell of a fight, at the very least, and worst case scenario, she’d end up a decomposing pile of decay.
“I want to be stronger,” she mused to herself as quietly as she could manage. She had sent all the human workers back to their homes for the week, content to not have to deal with their sort until she was in the mood to grind the bones of some other mercenary. For now, she had her makeshift house, a large wooden barn-like structure that her slaves had recently completed by her order, and the stars. “No,” she added, thoughtfully. “I wish to be bigger!”
Her massive toes dug caverns in the soil as they clenched and flexed. The idea made her giggle and shift her hips to find more comfort in the groove she had made in her image on the earthy floor. Yes, the idea of being even taller than before was ideal. If she were even another fifteen meters tall, she would surely have nothing to fear of the king or his armies. She would be unstoppable!
