Chapter 2: Nurse Skyler

The rest of my stay at the hospital was a lot more interesting. When people were around me, my physical recovery was at the forefront, but when the lights were out, my mind got all the attention. After one more week, I could quickly and smoothly, close doors, open windows, and turn off the lights, all with the power of my mind. It got me excited, but also scared, this wasn’t something to brag about, if people found out I could do this, they would lock me up forever, trying to figure out how I did it, so they can reproduce it. I had seen enough films, or enough of the world to know that much was true.

Another scary thing is that even I didn’t know how any of this was possible. It had to do something with my accident, it was the only explanation. But when I searched my brain for memories, nothing came but darkness, wait, not exactly nothing, a green light, or mist appeared in the darkness, just a subtle glow of something, but I could not for the life of me know what it was or where it came from. But that something had happened in that cave, even I couldn’t deny, my wounds recovered extremely quickly, and the doctors spoke of a little miracle. I still can’t walk properly, but I at least can do things all by myself now, because of a wheelchair I got, and of course because of my newfound powers.
