Chapter 14

The little interview of Vicki was the beginning of her returning to who she was and even more. Back to her fierce self and ready for any action headed her way. That wasn’t to say things were getting easier. As usual the mainstream media picked at parts of her interview to make her out to be a soulless money stealing pig while others in the local community know the full truth and are on her side.

Her competition Trisha Sampson has been making more jabs at Vicki throughout her campaign ,especially when watching a completely botched version of Vicki’s interview.

In every interview she’s in, Trisha always makes her self look like the self righteous hero fighting evil. But that should all change soon as they come closer to debates. Vicki knows she’ll have the upper hand over Trisha, but it’ll still be a bit trickier to get everyone on her side if she doesn’t have any dirt on her.

Which is why she gave Roman the important job going online and try to uncover as much dirt on Trisha Sampson as he can. That night he was up researching while Vicki watched Trisha’s interviews on TV. 4 hours or so passed without Roman giving Vicki any notable information.

It was hard for both of them especially Roman. He didn’t enjoy having to watch and read so many interviews and articles on Trisha Sampson. Her interviews could basically be boiled down to why her competitor is evil and bringing up that there needs to be change. It was a tough job to stomach down but he knew he had to do it for the one he loves.

“Come on, you must have found something notable at this point on her”, said Vicki in a tired voice.

Roman looks up from the computer screen. “Nope, can’t even find a single incriminating tweet on her.”

Hearing this caused Vicki to look even more flustered. “Come on there has to be something even remotely dirty that she’s done in this position.”

“Sorry ,nothing other than her receiving and sending great portions of money.”

Vicki bolts up hearing this which causes her great orbs to jiggle on Her chest for a few seconds. “What did you say”, said Vicki in a tired and even more flustered voice.

“Well there appears to be a lot of money she’s been sending to a very hard to track location”.

“And when did you find out about this?

“Oh a couple hours ago.”

“So why the fuck did you not bring this up sooner!?”

“Well you never told me to specifically track down her spending.”

Vicki got up and took over the computer. And sure enough she found what she had been seeking.

“Fuck Roman I love you but sometimes...”, she says in a flustered tone.

They continued to see just how much money is being spent by Trisha Sampson. In her speech’s, Trisha would always say how politicians like Victoria Black spend a lot money on the close they wear that belongs to the people when ironically, Trisha spends over four times that amount compared to Vicki.

Other than the money spent on her outfits, they found a huge portion of her spendings were going to one place in particular. And looking back on old accounts, they found that Trisha was being paid a lot of money under the table from the same place.

It was popularly known that Trisha Sampson originally started as a waitress which she had said countless times was her only form of income. Now it is apparent that was a lie.

The question Roman and Vicki asked themselves now is why keep it a secret? Why would she want to hide an old form of income. Is it to make herself seem more relatable to the people or is there a particular part of her old life she doesn’t want resurfacing through to her political career?

They searched for the past hour. Roman was on the verge of passing out. But he and Vicki had finally found the source of this income.
