Challenge (Alternate [Unwanted-Empathy] )

"Yeah I'm sure it will be real quick, he's probably a one pump-chump," Zoe said snidely.

"Zoe!" Kaylee yelled at her.

"Fuck you Zoe! I could have you screaming my name if I wanted!" Scott said. The entire locker room went silent.

Scott didn't know what had come over him, maybe he just finally reached his breaking point after three years of verbal ****. He certainly didn't know why he said those exact words, but there was one thing he did know. That he was absolutely fucked.

"Looks like somebody is throwing down the gauntlet," Abby laughed.

"Well Zoe, you've been called out in front of the entire team, you gonna run away?" Kaylee said with mirth in her voice.

"I am not fucking him!"

"There we have it ladies. The winner by forfeit, Scott Hoffman!" Kaylee grabbed Scott's arm and raised it in the air. She looked at Zoe with a smirk on her face. Something passed over Zoe's face, but was quickly gone.

"Fine! After practice right here, we'll see if you can back up those words!" Zoe snarled.

"Ahhh! No fair. I asked first!" Ellie pouted.

While the team practiced , Scott was in hell. "Stupid! Stupid!" he thought.

Trying to think of a way out of this predicament, but all of his ideas only in ended in disaster. He didn't care about the mockery he would endure for running away or backing down. All he cared about was Kaylee and protecting his secret , but Kaylee looked so gung-ho about it. Would she be disappointed in him, or would he be lesser in her eyes? Then there was getting a girl pregnant. Lastly, the thought of fucking Zoe of all people made him cringe.

Practice soon came to an end, and it seemed like all the girls were sprinting to the locker room, well all of them except Zoe. Kaylee was waving him over with a big smile on her beautiful face. She was certainly enjoying this more than he was. Surprisingly Scott had come up with a plan, but it required he push past many of his hang ups. He could still run away, but the thought of Kaylee thinking less of him made him hesitant.
