Certainly trouble

Once you recover from the strong chemical smell, you quickly try to plan your next move. The long white hallway has several black metal doors along the sides at regular intervals. As you pass them, you read the labels: "E-0.663," "E-0.664," counting up to "E-X.000." The other doors were marked with a label "YELLOW CLEARANCE REQUIRED," but this one is marked "BLACK CLEARANCE ONLY." You shiver as the chill and creepiness register with you.

You weren't much slower than Brooke and her escort, so they must have gone through one of the doors, as the end of the hallway is merely a wall with a strange pattern on it. You take another look at the "BLACK CLEARANCE ONLY" door. Something tells you they must have gone in there.

Suddenly, you hear a pneumatic hiss behind you. Whirling around, you see that one of the "YELLOW CLEARANCE REQUIRED" doors has opened! You have nothing to hide behind, so you are **** to stand and await whomever emerges.

To your shock, a scientist in a lab coat turns to his right and walks toward the entrance, the door remaining open for a moment. You quickly and quietly approach the door and, amazingly step inside to see a research station. The scientist must have been the only one working, because, aside from a computer and a few empty beakers, the room is completely empty.

Or so you thought.

All you feel is a sharp pinch on your neck, and everything goes black.
