That water is so dark already, even in this light i can't see a thing in it, who knows what could be in there?

This place is too weird, you need to be careful. Self preservation is always being repeated ad-nauseam at the college. Maybe for once the lecturers were right?

You don't want to find out anyway.

Sticking close to surrounding shrubs you walk around the pond to the other side and the exit. You may have seen a flash of movement under the water, followed by a ripple or two on the surface but nothing else happens.

You continue on through the gap in the bushes on the path that seems neatly laid out for you. No point in getting lost in the bush right?

The path itself seems very neat, almost like a garden back home. The edges are defined, the bushes and flowers, despite their uniform blackness appeared healthy and well maintained.

The path continued on for quite some distance, all the while your mind wondering how such a place came to be.

Touching the flowers and smelling them, while pleasant, didn't seem to have any effect on you at all.

Just ahead though the path widened into a small clearing.
