Catch a Ride to Veridian Forest

You wake up the next morning to breakfast in bed from a smiling Mary. "Wakey wakey Red!" She giggles and offers you a tray with eggs, bacon, pancakes, and some fruit. The breakfast is delicious and you finish it quickly, ready to hit the road to make up lost time.

The trip goes a lot faster than it did on foot, and Mary drops you off at the trail head for Veridian Forest before noon. "Thanks again for the ride, Mary! I really appreciate it!" You flash her a grin as you get out, but she puts a hand on your arm to stop you.

"Here, Red, take these." She hands you several antidotes. "I don't want one of your pokemon getting sick out there. The bug pokemon can wear your team down if you don't take care of them. Be careful." She gives you a quick kiss and then allows you to leave. You wave good bye and head into the forest.
