Chapter 3

Who do You Wish to Follow?
Cassandra Malcom, a Voluptuous Career Woman
“Pig!” Cassandra slammed her fist against the wall after she rounded the corner, finally out of sight of everyone who was in the meeting she had just been in. While the rest of her colleagues waited for the elevator, she told them she preferred the stairs, since it was only the third floor. Really, she just needed a moment away from them.
“Like I couldn’t see him leering at me.” She vented through gritted teeth. “I don’t think he even looked me in the eye once!” She had her mother’s side to thank for the FF Cup she wore, and the men in her life for never being able to forget it. No matter how many layers she wore, it seemed that she couldn’t hide them. Not that it would have mattered. She had wanted to get a reduction since she graduated high school, but when she brought up the topic with her mother, she was offended, of reactions. Not that it would have mattered much. Even if she had gotten the reduction, it wouldn’t have stopped the comments and occasional brush of a wayward hand on her butt. Though not as pronounced as her chest, she had learned fast enough to stop wearing yoga pants in public.
“And who does he think he is, calling me Sandra? We just me and not only are we on a first name basis, but he thinks he can shorten mine? The nerve of that asshole, I swear.” This was not a new experience for her, but no matter how many times it happened, it still aggravated her. It didn’t matter that she had graduated first in her class from business school, or how many years of experience she had, or all the successful deals she had made, there was always a man looking down at her, and down her blouse.
She had developed a reputation of being frigid, and while she wouldn’t dispute that, what other choice did she have if every man she talked to was coming onto her every other sentence?
Letting out a sigh, Cassandra straitened her posture and recomposed herself, brushing some of her curly black hair out of her eye and behind her ear. She couldn’t wait too much longer. The elevator had probably arrived, and she didn’t want to keep everyone waiting.

Was it Worth it?
Everyone knows if a deal is too good to be true, it probably is. But what if the bargain was so good you couldn’t refuse it anyway?
