We decide our first order of business is to find a way to get around quickly.

Hailey is the more experienced driver and she drives us to a group of dealerships. She gives me her phone number to keep in contact, and we part ways.

I go straight to the Holden/Chevrolet dealership, while Hailey deliberates for a second before heading towards the Nissan dealership. I look around inside the dealership, finding a few different cars, but ultimately, I know exactly what I want.

And I find it.

I walk in between the cars, trying to find the exact model I want. And finally, after looking at the paperwork with the car as well as the engine, I make my choice.

I decided to go with automatic transmission, as my limited driving experience wouldn't be able to handle a manual. I look at the paperwork and go to a key rack, matching a number on the paper with a number taped onto a key. I pick the key off the key rack and pick off the tape from it. It comes off easily, leaving me with a shiny new key for my shiny new car.

I walk back to the car, opening the dealership garage door first. I unlock the car and get inside, shutting the door behind me.

The drivers seat feels new, unused. It feels sleek and comfortable. I insert the key into the key slot next to the steering column, and turn the key. The engine starts with a roar. The dashboard comes to life and I check the fuel gauge, satisfied when it says full. Glad it comes already fueled up.

I rev the engine experimentally, tentatively, delighted as the deep roar of the V8 resonates in my chest.

I put my hands on the steering wheel. I shift it into drive and release the parking brake. I start to creep forward slowly, and I tap the accelerator lightly to help me along. I gently pull out of the dealership.

I hear a revving coming from the direction of the Nissan dealership and my head whirls around. Pulling out of the dealership is Hailey in a brand new white Nissan GT-R.
