Camp Naked!

I began reading the card out loud, but soon regretted doing that.

"Camp naked! Whoever draws this card must learn what it really means to be one with nature by going naked for the entire duration of the trip! Sun's out buns out, baby! Socks and shoes permitted."

"Oh my god!" I exclaimed, putting my hand over my mouth. I can't believe what I just read. Nobody said anything for a moment. Then everyone laughed, myself included. It's just so ridiculous. This had to be some sort of joke, right? I read it again. Yup, it definitely says "naked", right there on paper, twice. We're a family of jokesters, so I'm really not that surprised someone would put in a card like that. Still, it caught me off guard, reading a card that challenged me to go naked for the entire trip.

"Very funny, whoever put this in." I said with a laugh, not taking it seriously at all. "I'll get right on it."

I playfully began lifting my tank top up as a joke , revealing my bare tummy. My family continued to laugh, as I did so, but I stopped at my bra, still giggling myself.

"Whoa whoa whoa, why'd you stop?" Ashley asked, in a way that sounded like she was teasing me but also somewhat genuine. I didn't think much of it and playfully rolled my eyes and chuckled in response, then began fishing for another (read: real) challenge.

"Hey, cheater, stop that!" Ashley swatted my hand away from the bowl, with a giggle. "You know you can't just skip a challenge willy-nilly like that! You either face it like a strong woman or admit you're a huge pussy!"

I was a little taken aback. Honestly I couldn't tell if she was serious or not. Does she really expect me to just spend our family vacation butt naked, or is she just being annoying for the sake of it? She did call me a pussy, which she knows I hate and usually only does it to push my buttons and get me to do something stupid.

I looked at my parents to see how they feel about it, but they didn't say anything and just kinda stood there awkwardly. Dad looked a little annoyed, since he was clearly wanting to hit the road ASAP and this nonsense was only slowing us down. Did they not just hear what just happened? Or do they just not care?

Ashley kept pressing. "Em, are you just gonna stand there and waste everyone's time, or are you gonna make a decision? We're waiting, ya'know..."

Jesus, did I wake up in the Twilight Zone or something? I still couldn't tell if she was serious. But either way, she's right and I don't want to keep everyone waiting on me.
