Not enamored with the prospect of making awkward small talk at home with her fiancee's baby brother, Beth decided to pull out her phone and call her best friend and maid of honor.

It took a few calls to get Lindsay on the phone, but eventually her voice piped up on the other end, backed by the sounds of wind and seagulls.

"Little Dom's?" Lindsay had been not so coyly trying to bag the cute, dark haired waiter at their favorite lunch spot.
"Yeah, well his buddy Tim has a boat, and I'm on it!" There was a rustling noise. "Say hi, baby..."
"Hey, Beth." It was definitely Jake's voice, and also out of breath. {if Formation = 5

"Too bad you're a working stiff, you'd have had fun. Tim's single." Beth rolled her eyes at that. Lindsay did not think highly of Brian, especially not since she had told her about the new normal of their relationship. Lindsay didn't think Brian deserved Beth, and often made unsubtle attempts to sway her into troubled waters. "So what's up, why the call?"
"Well, Brian's at an event all night, and his little Army brat brother is crashing our place and I don't feel like entertaining him. I was going to see if you wanted to hang, but it sounds like you've got plans already."
Lindsay laughed. "Join us! We're going to Tim's house after for food, drinks and to watch the game. It's going to be good, I'm sure Tim won't care if I invite you along."
Jake's voice piped in. "Yeah, he's pretty laid back. More the merrier I'm sure."
"Well.... alright then." Beth smiled, feeling perhaps a little nervous about a house full of people she didn't know besides Jake and Lindsay, but she definitely didn't want to babysit Kyle until Brian got home, so she agreed. "Text me the address, I'll go home and change."
