Call Ava to your quarters

You contact Ava and tell her to meet you in your quarters, then set about preparing tea. A couple of minutes later you hear the door open and Ava walk in. "Good morning Captain."
You turn to see her flash a smile at you and then take a seat on one of the sofas in the small lounge area. "Good morning Ava." You reply. You bring the tray over to the table and pour a cup of tea for her before sitting beside her. "How are things?"
"Repairs to the ship are almost complete, we're still working around the clock to bring her back to full working order. Other than that the crew seem to be in high spirits, with how the battle turned out. Also the other Alliance fleets arrived a few hours ago and are preparing for our next move. Other than that there's nothing new to report sir."
You sip your tea, "And how are you holding up?"
"Me sir? I'm fine, ready to return to my duties as soon as possible Captain."
"You don't have to sound so formal all the time you know." You chuckle. "Right now just think of me as your friend, not your captain."
Ava glances away with a slight blush, "Yes Capt-...Kayto."
You tilt your head, giving her a little smile, "So, are you going to tell me what's really on your mind?"
"Well, I feel kind of silly really..." Her blush deepens and she tentatively places her hand on yours. "I've been thinking a lot about when we were kids."
You grin mischievously, "I hope this isn't leading up to a lecture about me getting you in trouble."
"Not exactly." She looks up into your eyes and you see something there you've never seen before.
