Nikolai Ivanovich Petrov was a lucky hire. His father had made millions following the collapse of the Soviet Union, selling anything and everything that wasn't bolted down. Enough of his sales were legal to keep him out of the crosshairs and his son would go on to attend the greatest schools and universities in Europe. A pedigree like that wasn't something a company would let go. With his contacts and his education Nikolai quickly rose up the ranks to the CFO position as the youngest Chief Officer. His shaven head, long nose, and piercing eyes could give the impression of a vulture circling a corpse. That was his other tactic. Nikolai lived for dirty office politics.
