Pushing through the smoke and fire you leap down from the tree ridge sticking your spear into the heart of an invader. A brutal scuffle insures, a mess of blades, gunfire, and blazing fires. As the smoke clears, the hails of arrows gives way to the cracks of the rifle lines firing upon your allies.

You look around you to find most of your friends surrounded or their eyes empty of life. It dawns on you, the battle is lost, even with an ambush, you were no chance against their superior technology. Beside you an elf speared through the skull, his brains slowly seeping out onto the charred ground.
