"Suit yourself, kid. Don't say I didn't warn you." And Carl steps through the doorway. The door slams shut behind him and the first thing you notice is that all the other doors are gone, too. But the stacks of books, all that knowledge, call to you.
You bury yourself into the first tome you find as everything around you collapses in on itself.
When the pocket dimension vanishes, you cease to be.
