Budget cuts

Mr. Smith faces a big problem: The budget of the drama club was cut completely. They wouldn't receive a penny from the college. This was of course due to last years disaster of a play. And the years before weren't great either, but they atleast didn't make any loss the years before. Now, he had to sell almost everything from the costumes. And without costume there wasn't a possibility for the drama club to make any profit with this years play. And even worse: Mr. Smith had no clue, what they should play this year.

He looked over his options again: 1. He could buy really cheap costumes out of his own pocket and hope, that they make enough money, so he wouldn't personally make a loss. 2. He could let the students perform in their street clothes, which would basically ruin every chance of making money with it. Both things would mean, that he hopefully wouldn't lose money, but even if he didn't, he would have the same problem next year again. And he really didn't want to bother with this problem every year. But there was no other option.

Then he had a third idea. He had no idea, if it would work. But if he had any students, who had to rely on their grades in drama club, he could pull this off. And he wouldn't have to worry about the next years expences at all. But he sure couldn't do this, could he? He looked up the college's regulations and found out, that the dress code doesn't apply for students of the drama club, if they're in costume and the teacher of the club allowed/told them to wear it.

He smiled about his great idea.
