Chapter 6

Do you continue the conversation?
Briefly, you need to get to work, but you do ask her out.
“Yeah.” You answer Sandra's last question. “This is my first time here. In fact, it is my first time at a Renaissance Faire.”
“Not into the Geek culture?” She asks.
“No, though I think I am starting to have an appreciation for it.”
The buxom cosplayer gives a faint blush at your line while briefly looking away as she runs her finger above her ear, combing her hair back.
“I hate to run.” You **** yourself to say as you look over at the Westmooring Tent, “but I have to get to work. I do feel bad for scaring you though. Could I make it up to you? Maybe buy you lunch?”
“I'm sorry, I don't . . .” Sandra catches herself in mid sentence, slightly biting her lower lip, she then looks up into your eyes. She ponders for a few seconds and then continues. “Sure, that would be great. Meet me at the first aid station at noon?”
“Sounds good.” You calmly answer, though inside you scream “FUCK YEAH!”
“See you at noon.” You nod and turn and head towards the security tent, fighting the desire to look back.
How does it go with your boss?
