What's next?
Bream's Post.
You enter the small cluster of structures that comprise Bream's Trading Post. The old Post building itself is sunk half into the hillside, with moss and grass growing on the roof. Fur trappers, hunters and farmer filter in and out at a semi-regular pace, and the surrounding area is occupied by peddler's carts and merchant wagons. A thin, meandering stream runs north to south through the post, with a railed wooden bridge carrying the road over it.
A Ranger barracks rests on the far side of the stream, as does a ramshackle building of rough timbers. When you approach, you see that it's a traveler's inn of two stories with a sad little stable and yard behind. The sign is almost obliterated with age, but you think you can make out the words "Trader's Rest." A few huts and shacks fill out the meager community, likely the homes of those who serve the traders and travelers. The stream provides the best access to fresh water for quite a distance.
All in all, Bream's Post is exactly what it appears to be: a trading post and stopover between the Bridge of Pearls and the Shrieking Forest that looms in the western distance.
