"Oh... fine." Beth was a little put out at his reaction, but after a minute, she decided he was probably right. Can't you go five minutes without sabotaging yourself?

}They finished their workout, and took quick showers there to avoid smelling up the breakfast place that Beth suggested they head off to for some post-exercise carbohydrates.
They walked the half mile to Bagels4U! It was a tiny, simple place that smelled of yeast and coffee. They sold bagels, sandwiches, coffee and smoothies. Kyle ordered a sesame bagel with strawberry cream cheese and a coffee. Beth splurged on a bacon egg and cheese sandwich on a whole wheat bagel with a strawberry banana smoothie made with fat-free fro-yo. They sat in the corner, listening to top 40 and chatting. There were at least four other customers clearly from the gym, and she even recognized a few and nodded hello. {if KyleBJ = 1
}Beth felt a little awkward sharing a very normal interaction after what had happened the previous night between them, but then she determined to lean into it. Maybe it was best to normalize their interactions. That might be safer going forward, was her thought. {endif
