Chapter 4 by FootLicker8 FootLicker8

What is your next move?

Book the trip

Today is the first day of your 3 week holiday break and you have no plans. You aren't expected for anything except Christmas which is in a few days. After that you're free to do whatever you want, even on new years, until the next semester starts in mid January.

You've always wanted to visit London, especially since you're considering moving there in the future.

You click the large booking button. Just to check the price. You have quite a lot of money from savings accounts created by generous relatives since you were born, but you are expected to use them for more important stuff, like an apartment for example. Still, though, it's your money that you're free to use whichever legal way you want, although this is probably not very legal. You ignore the thought.

You're brought to a surprisingly empty page in the app. The only options there are the date and time of departure, the date and time of return and another big button that simply says "purchase". Above the purchase button is the price. You don't know the usual price to fly between Stockholm and London but this seems substantially lower; probably half if you had to guess.

You expect this means that you have to fly with some dodgy budget airline but there is no option to pick airline or flight, just the dates and times. You're getting more skeptical by the second but your curiosity and desire to meet your one true dream girl once again gets the upper hand and you find yourself setting the departure and return dates and times to the day after Christmas and the last day of the break respectively. Then you hesitantly press the purchase button. You hope this isn't your **** sentence.

You're brought to yet another page: a regular online purchasing page where you can fill in your card details. You pull out your wallet from your pocket in order to do so.

You suddenly get hit with worry as you realize this sudden return to normalcy might mean this is all a scam to trick you into paying the developers money, but it's already too late. The purchase is processing and is soon completed.

You're brought to a final page. The only thing there is text that reads: "Thank you for purchasing a trip to your dream partner from us! An email containing details about the flights has been sent to you. Enjoy your trip!" Then, as if on cue, an email notification from a no-reply address slides down the top of the phone screen. Curiously, you don't remember signing up with your email. You don't remember signing up at all.

You click the email anyway. It gives details about date, time, gate, etc. But it's not a ticket. It also doesn't have any information on what airline you'll be flying to and from London. Now that you think about it, it's more closely related to an invitation. It smells a little fishy but you decide not to think about it too much until it's time for departure.

Are we skipping ahead to the big day?
