Bobby Lee gets a shock.

Bobby Lee was heading back to the parked police cruisers. He had found nothing in the bushes and now he couldn't find the sheriff. He decided to wait for a few minutes at the cars and if Emmy Lou didn't show up then he'd call for back up.

Just as Bobby Lee had made his mind up to call the sheriff's office, the sheriff stepped out of the bushes and walked towards him.

"Hey Emmy Lou," Bobby Lee called out in relief. "I was getting kinda worried. You find anything in there?"

The sheriff made no reply and continued to walk towards her deputy. As she got closer she raised her arm, attached to her forearm was a rectangular box.

"What's that sheriff?" Bobby Lee asked.

For his answer the box emitted a blinding red flash and a bolt of energy hit the deputy in the chest. He crashed back against the door of his car and slid to the ground out cold.

The alien Emmy Lou turned to the bushes and called out in the chittering alien tongue. The second alien scout emerged from hiding, together they stripped the comatose Bobby Lee naked, then the alien that was still in it's natural form concentrated on Bobby Lee. Soon it had duplicated the deputies form and donned his police uniform.

The two alien scouts in their new human guises got into one of the police cruisers. After accessing their computers to explain how the automobile worked they were able to drive off. Whilst one drove the second scout located the signal emitted by the escaped criminals computer units and gave directions.
