It took Samantha Barrett over an hour to walk a mile or so through the tangle of roads and buildings between the airport and the police station. As a single white woman, she felt very alone in the sprawling african city. There were many stares and a few comments from interested men. One man she stopped for directions even tried to pull her into an alleyway. Samantha tried not to think about what she would do that night if Philip wasn't out of jail by then.

By the time she arrived at the police station, she was hot and exhausted and just wanted to go home. She walked up to the counter where another middle-aged man in uniform peered down her cleavage and managed a smile. "Looking for something, miss?"

"My name is Samantha Barrett," she said. "My boyfriend is in custody here. I'd like to see him, or at least know when he is being released."

"Well, you have a fine taste in men, Miss Barrett," he sneered. "These are local men here, criminals all. Tell me, did one of them **** you and now you are in love with him?" He laughed as she turned red. "Or you just accepted the first black cock you saw?"

"His name is Philip, you pig!" she retorted angrily. "He's white! He's Australian! Now where is he?!"

The official's eyes narrowed. "Watch your tone, girl," he warned. "You don't want me to put you in a cell. And as for your boyfriend, he must be a spy, or a **** smuggler. He's probably being held at central security."

Samantha was crestfallen. "What am I going to do?" she muttered to no one in particular.
