Big bonfire at the lake

One of the things you gave up dating Erica was the out of town drinking parties. Sure you and her would drink, but the college parties you went to were more watched by the cops as the kids didn't have access to the good party spots that the locals do. You are at a big bonfire on the lake shore in front of the Smith cottage. The cottage is rather small but there are places to park camping trailers or set up tents on the deep narrow lot. You have brought your dad's pontoon boat across the lake and will go back after the party as your truck is at your families' place. Your place has a nice amount of shoreline but it is shallow, muddy, or rocky. It is a good place to bring a few girls or run if cops bust the party as it is in another County than all the nice beach and expensive lake houses.

Bobby is here also and has his truck at your place as he fixed an old boat motor for your dad and has to fix a few things for your uncle early tomorrow morning. The long road to the Smith lake cottage is full of cars and trucks some with campers. This is a fun spot as you have the risk of the Green River County Sheriff showing up as you are on the best beach for fifty miles and next to the Donaldsen compound. The Smith's have only 50 feet of shoreline but their lot is pie shaped and gets wider as you get away from the lake. The Donaldsen's have over a quarter mile of beach to the west. The shoreline turns rocky just west of them. The Beach stays sandy for another half mile to the east but most lots are only 50 or 100 feet of shoreline. Your uncle Dan owns one of those cottages.

There is a small island in the middle of Big Turtle Lake. It is only the size of a typical convenience store and parking lot. It is rocky and has thick brush along most of its shore. If you know where to look, there are several places to beach a small boat and pull it unto the island and not be found. It is considered a free base as there is confusion and fighting over who owns it and which of the three counties that border the lake have jurisdiction of it. Green River County Sheriff's Department is the only one that has a proper boat to patrol it with but they also have more lakes to watch.
