Between the trees

Deciding based on no particular reason what so ever, you start walking out between the trees to step beyond the clearing.

Moving along at a steady pace, you can see the very rough outline of a pathway you are on, but it seems its quite overgrown. Some branches and many shrubs are pressing in from both sides making you cautious. "Black rubber trees are not something i have ever heard of before, i can't take any chances here," you think to yourself.

As you continue your journey though you can't help but brush by some of the rubber foliage. Even through your robes you can feel the leaves are very soft. Your curiosity piqued, you stop beside a bush that seems devoid of ambulatory vines and caress a hand over the leaves. They are indeed soft and slightly warm.

Pulling your hand back you notice some black dust has settled on your fingers. Blowing over it doesn't disperse it however, instead it turns a shiny film. You look closer and attempt to scratch the rubber pollen off with a fingernail but it just skips over the smooth stuff.

Before you can become too concerned you hear a rustling within the bushes. Bending down to see the source of the noise you gasp quickly and spot a large vine heading towards you!

Fortunately it is quite slow and you can easily outpace it.
