Before leaving, you turn and offer your hand to the Cowgirl. She shakes it with enthusiasm, grinning widely. Amazingly, you’re able to keep your gaze from lingering on her beautiful body and look her straight in the eye.

There are a million things you want to say to her, but you resist the temptation to burst out in a torrent of excited praise and say simply, “Good match. You should be proud.”

She nods happily. “I am. But not as proud as you should be.”
