Chapter 3 by wicker wicker

What's next?

Bar Fly

Eleanor and a friend went out for drinks. They always had a bet to see who get the most free drinks from the most men. Eleanor wore a short, tight, sleeveless red mini-dress, and her friend Beth wore a midnight blue halter top and short leather skirt. They went to a nice upscale bar.

They walked in and saw a man sitting alone a the bar, nursing a drink, and looking at his phone. He was in his forties or early fifties.

"I see my first buyer," said Eleanor. She walked up and stood next to him.

The man looked over and saw her hand first. "Nice ring," he said.

"Thanks," said Eleanor. "What kind of drink do you think I should get?"

The man looked her up and down and sized her up. "Get a double vodka rocks."

Eleanor would usually never get such a strong drink, especially early in the evening, but she cdalled the bartender over. "Double vodka on the rocks."

"What brand?"

"Ketel One grapefruit and rose."

"Coming right up."

"Thanks for the recommendation."

The man nodded and turned back to his phone.

Eleanor was not happy the man was not immediately smitten with her. She turned to Beth. Beth was down the bar flirting with a man younger than the man Eleanor was with and was seemingly having an easier time with her man.

"So what are you drinking?"

"Scotch on the rocks." He said without looking up.

"What does it take for you to be nicer to me?" asked a puzzled Eleanor. She was afraid she'd have to pay for her own drink, and Beth would never let her hear the end of it.

The man looked up at her.

what does he say?
