Back to the Dorm

They talked for a while longer, and then they asked her to sign some forms, and said she could go. The doctor said she'd have to come back in a week for a checkup, and the cop said they'd let her know if they caught the guys who were behind what had happened to her. They gave her back her purse, which had been recovered from the kidnappers. They hadn't found any of her clothes, but it's not like she'd be able to wear them anyway. The cop offered her a ride back to campus which she took him up on.

When the cop car pulled up to the dorm, the officer asked Cara if she needed him to walk her in but she said no. Everybody in the lobby stared as she walked in naked but nobody said anything. She was surprised nobody asked her why she was naked or tried to stop her, but at the same time she was grateful nobody was asking her any questions right now.

Feeling exhausted and overwhelmed, she hurried up to her room and slid her key into the lock.
