They drag themselves out 1 last time, weakened and slow, easy targets for the fresher girls who delight in the quick pops they can get on damaged balls.

Still on the ground trying to deal with Ashley's last ball shot, you decide to go back, recover a little longer, and come out with the next wave. With the hits you've already taken you won't be able to put up a real fight for a while anyway.
