The arms of her lover hung over her shoulders and his soft-spoken voice slithered into her ear. “Come to bed Mistress.”

She returned the quill to its inkwell and gave into the blissness nature of her concubine. Her inked strained hand reached to stroked Jorg’s arm. “Later once I’m done.”

As if on cue the young man whined in disappointment. She smiled.

It had been a long morning since she got back once more she had locked herself away in the princess room but unlike before instead of fearing for her safety she work to give herself some peace of mind.

She had been sitting at a desk working the maths of the servant's wages for the best part of the morning. She wanted to know what the people closest to her on a daily basis, the people who poured her drinks, cooked her food and could enter her chamber as she slept. She recalled the fear she invoked from the people around and only knew it wouldn’t last if she couldn’t match the act of the princess so she went back to what she knew best. “Still can’t believe the maids hadn’t poisoned her already, you couldn’t get me to work for such low pay.”

“Huh?” The confused sound came from her ****'s lips which she silenced with her own than with her tongue.
