-Author's Note-

Welcome! This story has been sitting in my drafts for going on three months at this point (Jesus, 4 now), and I've re-written this author's note about 4 (5!) times. I've wanted to do several different things with it, and haven't been able to make up my mind. I'm at the point I need to pick a direction and publish, or delete the whole damn thing so it stops pulling at my attention. So you know what? Fuck it. We'll do it live. Let's see what happens. (Sunk cost fallacy is a bitch.)

Anyway, this was supposed to be a place to drop some themes that didn't fit into my main story (****, barbarians, conquest) to help clear my head whenever I stalled out. Working great so far. (Checks status of last update on Star Wars fic). So great.
