“When we’re gone,” Carol said. “Audrey’s going to be in charge of you.”

“What? But she’s younger than me,” Beth said. “I used to babysit HER.”

“And now she’s going to watch over you,” Carol said.

“But mom…”

“And as long as you don’t have any accidents, there shouldn’t be a problem,” Carol said.

“You… you didn’t tell her did you?” Beth said squirming.

“No, but I did tell her to keep an eye on you and to tell me if anything happens,” Carol said.

Beth squirmed. “F-fine…” Beth said.

Beth went up to her room locking herself in as she felt anxious.
