Attack first, questions later.

The moment someone came through the door, Dago quickly punched them in the gut. They doubled over in pain, and there was a cry behind the intruder that said he wasn’t alone. Dago kicked the guy out of the room and slammed the door shut. He jammed the chair underneath the doorknob so they had a second to think.

“What the fuck is going on?” Dago asked Natalie, who was searching for another way out.

“I think they’re demon hunters, the independent kind. I doubt they know much about vampires, but I think they’re going to sell us for rituals. Or at least they’ll try,” she replied, tearing at the wooden floor. Dago noticed the door starting to shake, along with hearing a lot of angry voices.
