Attack at night

“This rain is really agitated by us isn’t it?” Says Archi as he presses his hand against the glass window to take a look outside.

Suddenly, your body is thrown towards the side along with Archi’s as the carriage swerves to the side drastically before getting back on course.

“What in the world was that?” Says Archi as he sits back in his original seat whilst brushing his hair back to it’s original state.

“I’m not sure. Could be anything...” you say unsure about what it was. You then knock on the window twice to catch the drivers attention. You receive no response.

“... Wait here.” You say in a serious tone talking to Archi as his bodyguard instead of his friend. Archi understood the seriousness of your tone and nodded. You then pull out your flintlock pistol and hand it to him before opening the carriage door.

You grab the edge of the carriage before pulling yourself up carefully as it continues to move. You see the driver sat with a large coat over his back and covering his head with a hood.

“What was the cause of that turn.” You say sternly completely uneasy about the whole situation. You receive no response.

“Driver.” You say before reaching over and grabbing his shoulder. As you do this, the driver turns around quickly throwing the coat over him completely catching you blind. The only thing that can be seen is the glimmer of a pistol coming from under his cloak.

Trusting your instincts, you roll to the side and grab the edge of the carriage before rolling off of it.

As this is happening, the roar of a pistol is all that’s heard before you see a large, lead filled bullet just about miss your body.

“Fuck!” Shouts the man before standing up on the carriage and raising his foot to drop it on your hand.

BANG

The sound of another pistol echoes through the top of the carriage distracting the man. You raise yourself up, taking advantage of this where you see Archi standing there with your pistol. Unsure of how he missed from that range, you exchange a look of confusion.

You then see Archi turn his head and watch as a sinking look falls over his face. You then look to the side before seeing a large, pile of cases that were quickly approaching the carriage.

Before you know it, the carriage collided with the boxes causing the horses to completely fall and disconnect with the carriage as the metal helm goes into the wooden case causing the carriage to completely crumble leaving nothing but wood and splinters before sending everyone abroad flying off of the carriage.
