Chapter 4 by GreenBean GreenBean

Where should Matt try the ceremony?

At home

Matt shut his new book, and hid it in his bag, and spent the rest of the ride imagining if the woman were his girlfriend, how she'd kiss him, how'd he kiss her, where he'd kiss her...
The woman wore jeans and a blouse, her chest was modest but impressive, but it was her face with their thick lips. Blow job lips as Matt thought of them. She looked thirty, but when imagining things those things don't matter.
Entertained, Matt waited for and got off at his stop. As he got off the bus, he tripped, spilling his bag. The bus driver asked if he was alright. Matt told him everything was fine, blushing at the embarrassment of his clumsiness in front of woman. But she seemed to have not even noticed.
Tucking the book into his bag, he walked home.
Working the morning shift had it's advantages, one was that the house was his from 12 to 5 as his mom was at work. His dad worked overseas, so he wasn't a problem either. Heading into his room and shutting the door he sat down and began to attempt the ritual.
His first try at drawing the matrix looked awful. Drawing circles and perfectly straight lines is hard. Then he realized he could use a ruler and compass and the whole process became much simpler, but it still took him two tries to get the spacing just right. If he was going to do this, he should do it all the way.
He grabbed a wine glass in the kitchen and set it in the middle of the of the matrix. Matt read aloud the incantation, feeling kind of silly, but going for it anyway. Suddenly Matt felt a pressure between his eyes and at the back of skull, blacking out for a moment. Just as suddenly as it came, the pressure released, and Matt stared at the glass of water.
"I guess it didn't work." Matt mumbled to him self, but just as he did, the glass shattered, and spilled onto the matrix, suddenly halting, and pulling itself together, using the glass shards to form a face, and even pulling moisture out of the dampened paper as it rose a little way.
Matt snapped back to his book, he needed to speak its true name, "Palathoa" he said. The face looked at him, shrugged and continued to pull itself up and out of the paper, becoming increasingly humanoid in the endeavor. Matt watched as it finally came to its fullest, looking almost doll-like, then, as if it weren't odd enough, the water making up its body seemed to freeze. It's face still formed by bits of glass. It opened it's makeshift mouth and pointed.
Matt grabbed the knife he set aside for this. Here he was supposed to feed it some of himself, that clearly being blood, and this would allow the spirit to stay. He steeled himself and ran the blade against his finger. It didn't hurt truly, but it stung as he watched watery blood come out his shallow cut. Squeezing his finger over the spirit he let drop 10 drops of his blood before putting a bandaid on his finger.
Hello master, what do you need done? Matt heard in his head.

What does Matt request?
