"What do you mean, there?" I asked, unsure of where Kaila was taking this.

"You know EXACTLY what I mean." Kaila admonished. "If you want to fuck her, I want to know about it. I also want you to use protection."

I had a sudden thought of Helen and Charlotte. The thought of their bodies, swelling with the results of our lovemaking. For a moment the thought came to mind of a second image of Kaila in the same state, which I banished rapidly. We had agreed that was off limits.

"Yeah, I uhm... " I felt a little sheepish at this point honestly. "I haven't exactly been thinking the past couple days."

"Right. So, did you pick up condoms on the trip?" Kaila asked. "Because that would have been smart and would allow you to get this over with, safely."

"You're kinda killing the mood, you know," I pointed out.

"I'm TRYING to." Kaila nodded. "Look, I talked with Helen a lot while you were gone. We both love you, you know. I mean... Helen... Helen loves you." She added the second part rapidly.

"Wait, you didn't say anything wrong." I noted, taking interest in her sudden fluster.

"No I didn't. I mean, yeah... I didn't say anything wrong, right... " She breathed out. "Sorry, little nervous. This is... Brent? If I told you I had been keeping a secret for a while, would you hate me?"

"Depends on the secret. You didn't fuck a guy in a blue Honda a few days ago, did you?" I stated bluntly.

"What??" Kaila's eyes flashed fire. Her expression became hard, before softening quickly. "Ok, I deserved that. I have been pretty wild recently. But no, I didn't fuck any other males. I promise."

She pulled her lips inbetween her teeth and bit gently. She inhaled a soft breath through her nose.

"You're being cryptic. " I pointed out.

"Yeah, well, remember our first honeymoon?" Kaila shrugged.

"Yeah, where you got sick at the Venetian buffet and then spent half the vacation in the bathroom." Dad had given us a week stay in Vegas for our wedding present. He had also winked at me and reminded me that "Anything that happens in Vegas, Stays in Vegas". We had barely spent any time together, and Kaila had been suffering the aftereffects of "the procedure" as we thought of it. That meant she had spent the entire time in the very nice suite, and ordered room service on my dad's bill.

"How many times did we make love that trip?" She asked quietly.

"I think... once... Maybe?" I couldn't exactly remember. It had been a disaster, and I had still been drinking more than I should have been at the time. I remembered her saying No a lot, and not being in the mood, which was unusual for Kaila...

"Yeah... you were pretty out of it. You really wanted our baby, didn't you?" Kaila sighed. "Sit with me. This is... I don't know how you're going to take it."
