When practice ends you call her over. She skips over like a lithe graceful cat. “What’s up?”

“Maria,” you start, “I have a question for you.”

“Sure thing.”

“What are you doing tonight?”

“You want to schedule another practice?”

You blush. “No actually… I was wondering”

“What?”

“You want to go out to dinner?”

“Coach?”

“Sorry I asked. Never mind.”

“Sounds like fun? What time and where?”
