Arriving at the mansion

You're greeting with hoots and laughter as you climb into the SUV, Brianna handing you a jello shot as you squeeze between her and Amy.

"Get this party started Girl!" she whoops as she clinks her shot against yours and the two of you down them. You're the last to be picked up, and Chad announces that the Thurston Mansion is the next stop. As he drives, he runs quickly over the rules of the contest, but you're barely listening, doing another jello shot and feeling the **** go to work on you, raising your excitement.

By the time he parks you've done four jello shots and hold a fifth in your hand as you pile out of the vehicle. Chad leads the way to the wrought iron gates that block the drive, using a key to open the padlock that secures them and ushering you through. You see the huge dark shape of mansion silhouetted against the moon and for a moment you feel a prickle of unease, but push it aside scornfully.

A few moments later you're all standing on the veranda of the mansion as Chad unlocks the door and pushes it open.

"Showtime ladies!" he says as he gestures inside. "The house is yours, and to the brave goes the spoils of victory! Happy Halloween!"

You and your friends step inside and Chad pulls the door shut behind you, leaving you in the dim entrance foyer. Amy flicks on her flashlight, pointing it around to illuminate the space, showing you it's gothic looking architecture. The beam casts shadows as it strikes objects, giving a thoroughly creepy look to the place, and you give a little shiver of excited fear, as though you're about to watch the big reveal of a horror movie.

You down your last jello shot and turn your flashlight on.
