Chapter 4

Where does Arianna go?
Arianna searches by the water
Arianna headed toward the creek. There are bound to be more around somewhere, and that seemed a good place to go. She almost immediately saw a flutter of four or five butterflies moving down deeper into the forest. This was off the beaten trail, but her boots worked nicely, and she moved from shallow area to rock with ease.
Until things got deeper. The creek narrowed for a few hundred yards.
She heard it ahead of time, but her eyes were upward, scanning the ground lines for the last five minutes for any sign of butterfly. She thought she saw two now - monarchs definitely. She tightened her grip on her net as she went forward, and immediately fell.
She was not carried far. In fact, if she was not so surprised she probably would not have been carried at all. The water was certainly deeper, but not incredibly fast. Still, with a couple bounces she kept losing track of her footing as the water carried her downstream at about a walking pace.
As she tried to sit upright or stand, or even grab anything, she only managed a sideways log. Her grip on it allowed her to test the deepness - about as deep as the tips of her boots. That was bad. She began to sidle her way toward the edge, but the log suddenly turned and began to move. She felt it catch her the back of her dress somehow, and its weight, both of them buoyant, caused her to flip in the water once.
She gulped water and struggled and pulled. She suddenly felt the back of her leg feel land and kicked out of the water. On her back, she saw down the stream the log slowly moving. Beside her, she still had her bag and her net.
She felt herself. No blood, maybe a little bruising. She began to waft the net. A wet net would kill a butterfly. She saw her own condition and gasped. The log had caught her dress! She was left in her boots and wet socks, her slip and her panties, but her dress was actually gone! She stood upright to look down to where the log went, and felt something on her arm. It was her strap. She felt her slip - the back of it also had caught the log, but instead of leaving her body like the dress, the strong silken fabric kept to her. Still, it had stretched, and the back of it was slightly ripped with some holes she could not quite make out. She felt her behind - no, that was not visible. The holes only began around the small of her back and down mid spine.
She straightened the strap. The slip's shoulder straps were thin, and the whole thing was wet and stuck to her body. With only panties underneath, her frame was outlined. The soft curve of her chest, even the dimple of her belly button. She put an arm over her breasts and did not take another look down - she knew what that would look like now. Keeping her arm close to her though, her strap fell again and she straightened it. That was a losing battle. She removed her arm and saw the faint bumps of her nipples bleeding through the slip.
The slip went as far as the top of her knees, and there was the small outline of her panties underneath. Nothing too sinister, luckily. Arianna looked around. There was no trail nearby, though she knew how to get back to the park.
She wonders how to deal with this. Without a dress over her slip, a trip home should be done fast - before most of the city wakes. The slip was enough. She could just run home and forget the day's work.
Though she knew where these monarchs were. And, still without anyone around, she could decide to get her dress back. That log was still in sight, barely moving down the slowing creek. If she kept this up, she could get those monarchs, as well as her dress back, and not have to worry about embarrassing herself on the trip home.
Does Arianna decide to leave?

Butterflies
Exploring a park, trying to keep clothes - the normal
It is a hot, humid day in a sprawling city beside a river. Arianna is a butterfly farmer who sells her specimen to the zoo. She is in her late twenties, tall, and strong. Her job requires a good bit of walking, exploring, and keeping up gardens. She is currently looking for a monarch in a city park, not knowing how bad her day is about to get.
