An unfamiliar woman’s voice speaks as if talking to an audience.

“Legends... Stories scattered through time. Mankind has grown quite fond of recounting the exploits of heroes and villains, forgetting so easily that we are remnants, byproducts, of a forgotten past.”

The gems in the image glow green and fade to show simple pictures of a man rising from the earth before being surrounded by creatures, barely held back by warriors.

“Man, born from dust, was strong, wise, and resourceful, but he was born into an unforgiving world. An inevitable darkness — creatures of destruction — the creatures of Grimm - set their sights on man and all of his creations. These forces clashed, and it seemed the darkness was intent on returning man's brief existence to the void.”

Black sets in, then suddenly lessens as a light grows brighter and brighter until a gem rises from it and lowers itself into the hands of man.

“However, even the smallest spark of hope is enough to ignite change, and in time, man's passion, resourcefulness, and ingenuity led them to the tools that would help even the odds. This power was appropriately named "Dust".”

The scene zooms out to show men shooting lightning, raising swords, and aiming rifles at the retreating beasts as a castle appears behind them.

“Nature's wrath in hand, man lit their way through the darkness, and in the shadow's absence came strength, civilization, and most importantly, life.”

The castle zooms out to show a map of Remnant, which houses other buildings until they disappear in flashes of white and the map is lowered to show the scattered moon over a city at night.

“But even the most brilliant lights eventually flicker and die. And when they are gone... darkness will return.”

Roman Torchwick and four of his henchmen head down an alley from the shadows. They stop behind Roman, who reignites his cigar without touching it and grins before walking down the road, frightening nearby citizens as they make their way towards the shop From Dust Till Dawn.

“So you may prepare your guardians, build your monuments to a so-called "free world", but take heed... there will be no victory in strength.”

Roman and his henchmen enter the shop, with the owner of the shop looking at the men in fear while a young woman wearing a hooded red cloak in the corner of the shop was reading a weapons magazine.

As the woman’s voice vanishes, another person, a man this time speaks as if to finish for the woman or maybe put in his own two cents…

“But perhaps victory is in the simpler things that you've long forgotten. Things that require a smaller, more honest soul.”

The henchmen look around and at the Dust crystals in the display when Roman approaches the elderly shopkeeper and starts flicking his cigar on the floor.

“Do you have any idea how hard it is to find a Dust shop open this late?”

One of the henchman points his gun at the shopkeeper as Rowan continued to intimidate the man.

“P-please! Just take my Lien and leave!”

He waves his hand to the older man as if to reassure him.

“Shh, shh, calm down, we're not here for your money.”

He then snapped his fingers at the henchman next to him.

“Grab the Dust and quick!”

Another henchman opens a case and removes one of several cylinders, which the group uses to take Dust from the tube containers on the walls.

Another case was set on the counter which the old man figured was for the dust crystals in his display case.

“Crystals, burnt and uncut.”

The shopkeeper proceeds to fill the case. As another henchman goes for another tube, he hears a noise coming from the magazine rack and discovers it’s coming from a red hooded woman’s headphones where he begins to unsheathe his sword as he approached her.

Meanwhile, in the only back room of the store. A man was waking up laying on a large box, he rubbed his eyes as he figured he’s again in another lucid dream.

He stands up and stretches before hearing a person yell, sounds like trouble…

Back with the hooded woman, the henchman goes over to her and turns her around so as to get her attention, the hood dropped down to reveal a surprised woman with black hair and strangely interesting silver eyes who was dressed in a black and red combat sort of red riding hood getup.

He motions for her to lower her headphones.

“Yes?”

“I was saying, put your hands in the air, now!”

She narrowed her eyes as if she was realizing something.

“Are you... robbing me?”

“Yes! Now, this is your last warning kid!!”

“Ooohhh...”

Then before anything could happen, another person went to pat the man’s shoulder to get their attention.

Turning around, the henchman and the young woman saw an unfamiliar young man.

He was likely six foot exactly, dressed in a long black old times frock jacket with a slightly bright blue hoodie under with the hood laying over his jacket collar and a red scarf hanging around his neck long enough to go around once including dark green fingerless wool gloves.

He had black work pants on with a pair of black converse high tops and a white star on the sides with gray laces tied tight.

His socks were regular white, his boxers were black and red checkered and he was wearing a grey t-shirt under the zipped up hoodie. (For those curious enough.)

He had slightly pale skin with no blemishes, average looking face with greyish green eyes behind a pair of regular black rimmed glasses and messy brown hair. (Think Joker style from Persona 5.)

And he was smiling and spoke with an American accent.
