Aquintia

The region that your guild branch is in charge of, it is mostly based off of Western Europe with typical French and Italian country side in the south, mountain ranges littered with small villages like the Swiss Alps along the mid section, and some British, Scotish, and Irish style farmland to the north as well as swamps and bogs. The coast has a large desert area before becoming a set of rocky beaches both like those of Spain. Aquintia is ruled by a Duke who names barrons and lords of the various regions with barrons taking large stretches of land while lords rule over cities and manors. The Duke mostly serves to uphold the law, control the army, and be the supreme judge while a council makes laws. Councilors are named by barrons and lords who make descisions in their favor which is supposed to be the will of his/her subjects. The country makes its money in tourism, high end food products, farming, and art. Aquinta also has a good standing with other nations and doesn't consider itself to be nonsecular, but there are some who wish to control its beautiful and fertile lands or don't approve of their free lifestyle.
